Blue Ridge Rescue Barn is first and foremost a working sanctuary, rather than a facility that is regularly open to the public. Our days are centered around providing individualized care for our residents, so welcoming guests for a private tour requires us to set aside dedicated staff time and step away from our normal routines.

We love having the opportunity to share the sanctuary and introduce people to the animals who call it home. The fee for a private tour helps make those visits possible while also supporting the care of our residents. In that way, a tour isn’t simply an admission fee—it’s another way of supporting the sanctuary and the animals you’re coming to meet.

For those who would like to visit without scheduling a private tour, we also host special events and open houses throughout the year where we’re delighted to welcome the community.

Private Tours:

  • COST $200 (up to 6 guests)

  • Scheduled on weekday afternoons

  • For our friends who would like a more personal and in depth experience at the Sanctuary. On this tour you’ll have the Sanctuary to yourself and with the help of your tour guide, you’ll get to meet all the residents and hear their stories of resilience and learn what they teach us about forgiveness, unconditional love, and living in the moment. You are sure to fall in love with animals more deeply than ever before.

PLEASE NOTE: We are a private, gated facility with visitors welcome BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, NO DROP-INS. We are NOT currently open to the public. Please follow the facility-wide speed limit of 15mph or less.
