Mobile Farm Animal Food Pantry
HELP US FILL THE PANTRY, because a temporary hardship should not mean losing a beloved animal.
Keeping animals fed.
Keeping families together.
Our Mobile Farm Animal Food Pantry provides free hay, feed, and essential supplies to people in Western North Carolina who need assistance caring for their animals. With community donations and contributions from Blue Ridge Rescue Barn, we are building a well-stocked supply to distribute at no cost to families in need.
WHY IT MATTERS
Prevent suffering & surrender-Help prevent neglect, abandonment, and rehoming due to short-term economic hardship.
Preserve bonds-Keep people and the animals they love together.
Build community-Connect neighbors, businesses, and organizations.
Reach beyond our gates-Extend our sanctuary mission to reach animals across our community.
At Blue Ridge Rescue Barn, we provide lifelong sanctuary to farm animals in need. But our mission doesn't end at our gates. We recognize that many animals in our community have loving, dedicated caregivers who occasionally find themselves struggling to provide the essentials. We want to help those families before they face the heartbreaking decision to surrender their animals.
To address this need, we launched our Mobile Farm Animal Food Pantry, which will provide free hay, feed, bedding, and essential supplies to individuals and families throughout Western North Carolina experiencing financial hardship.
Our goals are to prevent animal suffering, neglect, abandonment, and unnecessary surrender; preserve the bond between people and their animals; and build a stronger network of community support.
Blue Ridge Rescue Barn is contributing its own resources to establish and stock the pantry, and we are invite businesses, community partners, and our wonderful community members to help us build a reliable, sustainable supply.
Your donation goes directly to keeping our pantry well-stocked and at the ready to serve animals in our community!
Thank you!
